Spartans Charity Events
Spartans will be taking part in an ‘It’s a Knock Out’ event in August to raise money for the CCLASP (Children with Cancer and Leukaemia Advice and Support for Parents). The event takes place at The Spartans Academy on Sunday 2nd August. 12 teams will take part in 8 giant inflatable games, battling to win the CCLASP cup.
The Spartans team will be made up of players, officials and fans of both sexes as we battle against other groups from the Edinburgh area. We have a target of raising £750 by the end of July and will have a number of events over the coming months in order to achieve this. If you would like to join the team to take part on the 2nd of August please contact Cameron Hobbs – Cameron_hobbs@blueyonder.co.uk On the 5th July we will be holding a Spartans XI vs Charity XI match at the Academy to help raise funds. To raise money we are selling positions to play for the Charity XI. These will be available on an auction basis with the highest bidder obtaining the position they bid for. Minimum bids for numbers 1-11 is £30, minimum bids for numbers 12, 14 & 15 are £15. The Spartans XI will include players such as: TBC The match is scheduled to take place at the Academy on 5th July with a 1pm Kick off. Spectators are welcome to attend the match.
