Callum Booth signs for The SpartansThe Spartans are delighted to announce the signing of highly experienced defender Callum Booth from St Johnstone. Left-back Booth joins The Spartans until the end of the season bringing a wealth of top flight experience to the heart of Douglas Samuel’s defence. A Scotland aged grade Internationalist youth product at Hibernian, Booth kicked off his senior career in Leith where he made 40 appearances. During his five years on the Easter Road books, he had a series of loan spells with Brechin City, Livingston and Raith Rovers. Whilst at Stark’s Park he collected a Challenge Cup winners medal in 2014 following an extra time victory over Rangers. Callum then joined Partick Thistle on loan before eventually settling at Firhill for three seasons before a move to Dundee United in 2018. In 2021, he was part the domestic double winning St Johnstone side who defeated Livingston in the League Cup Final ahead of beating Hibs to lift the Scottish Cup. The following season saw him add Europa League appearances to his CV with the Saints. Welcome to Ainslie Park, Callum. |
