New Signing: Danny Denholm joins SPFL 2 Spartans.

The Spartans are delighted to announce our first signing ahead of our historic first season in cinch SPFL 2.

Joining us at Ainslie Park for the 2023-24 campaign is experienced winger Danny Denholm.

The 32 year old winger, a former Broughton High School pupil, returns home to North Edinburgh after an adventure on the road.

Denholm started his playing career at Edinburgh City under 19s ahead of progressing into their 1st team. After a season of senior football, Danny headed to Stirling Uni before a move to Forfar where he notched up a century of appearances.

His senior league journey then took him to Arbroath for back to back campaigns at Gayview and East Fife.

Last season Denholm was an integral part of the SPFL 2 title winning Stirling Albion side.

2014-17 Forfar. 100 games, 26 goals
2017-19 Arbroath. 63 games, 12 goals
2019-22 East Fife. 25 games, 4 goals
2022-23 Stirling Albion 37 games, 2 goals

During Covid, PE Teacher Danny entertained online audiences with a blog post on BBC Scotland.

Last October, Danny joined fellow Scottish sporting influencers to urge men to challenge sexist behaviour
