Mint Box Removals sponsor Under 20s kit for new season

The Spartans Under 20s will kick-off their SOS Development League Conference A season with a brand new shirt– and for the first time – a Man of the Match award – courtesy of Edinburgh-based removal firm Mint Box Removals Limited.

Mint Box were established in the summer of 2018, specialising in domestic removals across Edinburgh and surrounding areas. Mint Box work with individuals, families, small businesses and corporate offices.        

Mint Box also offers their clients a storage facility to accommodate their possessions in a safe and secure location.

David Cran, Managing Director of Mint Box Removals, is of course no stranger to Ainslie Park. 

“I signed for Spartans when I was 17 whilst still at High School, back in the days when we trained at Peffermill and played our games on the slope at City Park.  At lot has changed since I left to join the Marines.  When I was doing so, the Academy was in the process of being built and when I returned five years later to come and play for the Amateurs it was an incredible transformation.”

Whilst with the Saturday Amateurs, David was a frequent goal scorer across the years and in 2010, he was the recipient of the Coaches Player of the Year trophy.

“I’ve always enjoyed coming down to Anslie Park.  I’ve now got a 3 year old son Charlie who I’m keen to get involved in the Academy’s Little Dribblers programme too.

“The Spartans brand and community ethos is very important to me and at Mint Box we look to mirror that where we can. As part of our recruitment process we look to integrate youths within the age bracket of the Under 20s squad into the business, show them how the company runs and encourage them to play an active role in making the organisation grow.

“The club means a lot to me which is why I’m more than delighted to be sponsoring the Under 20s this season.”

Under 20s Manager Les Atkinson added, “It’s great to have David and Mint Box on board this season and have them backing the boys by sponsoring the jerseys and the Man of the Match awards. 

“This is an exciting year ahead for the team and to have a former Spartan backing us from the off is a tremendous boost.”

The new eco-kit by leading Italian sportswear manufacturer Macron sees each shirt made with 13 half litre recycled bottles.
