Matchday Team Doctor opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity to join the medical support team at The Spartans Football Club.

We are seeking a matchday team doctor for our Men’s (Lowland League) team and we are looking for support for our home fixtures (c22 games between end July and May).

The role may suit one individual, alternatively we would be happy to work with a pool of doctors who share the fixtures between them.

The Team Doctor will be a qualified medical practitioner registered with the GMC and will be responsible for medical matters on matchday, working alongside our sports therapists and coaching staff. Full medical equipment is provided.

There is also the opportunity to work, if interested, with the wider physiotherapy and sports science members of the medical team between matchdays.

We use the leading edge football technical and data analysis tools PlayerData and Instat which are very useful for injury prevention and recovery programmes.

Membership of an appropriate defence organisation is required alongside attendance (every 3 years) at the SFA managed Sports First Aid course.
