Lowland League | Star turn required against dangerous DalbeattieThe Spartans get back into Lowland League business on Saturday with a roadtrip to Dumfries and Galloway to take on Dalbeattie Star in this weekend’s match of the day. It’s been an outstanding start by the hosts who sit joint top after getting out of the blocks with gusto however they suffered their first defeat of the season last week with a 1-0 reversal at Berwick. For Dougie Samuel’s side, the disappointment of a midweek cup exit is firmly in the historical chambers, as the Ainslie Park men look to build on their four league wins on the bounce and an impressive clean sheet record. Trips to Islecroft have always been exciting and at times tousy affairs with goals and cards never in short supply. With both clubs looking to maintain their positive start to the campaign, a cracking encounter is most certainly on the cards. Kick-off is at 3pm. |
