Signing News: Dougie delight as Dishington returns home

The Spartans are delighted to welcome Jamie Dishington back home to Ainslie Park ahead of the forthcoming Lowland League campaign.

The attacking midfielder returns after two seasons at East Stirlingshire, topped up by a recent loan spell to Edinburgh City.

Dishington, 24, first joined Spartans as a toddler and was in his 16^th year at the club before joining The Shire and now he returns to add to his 164 Lowland League appearances and 40 goals under Dougie Samuel’s stewardship.

One of many Academy Graduates who have established themselves in the 1^st Team, Jamie is enthused at the opportunity to build on where he left off. “I’m delighted to get this deal done and come back to Spartans. I’m looking forward to getting going and working with the gaffer again.”

Manager Dougie Samuel added, “I’m thrilled to bring Jamie back home. He was one of our key signing targets and we know what he can bring to our group. I’m really looking forward to watching Jamie play a key and positive role going forward.”
