Woods makes move permanent as Spartans spruce up squad

The Spartans are delighted to announce the signing of Gregor Woods on the eve of the 2020-21 Lowland League opener against Gretna.

Midfielder Woods was an integral part of Dougie Samuel’s squad last season and the Gaffer is pleased to have the talented playmaker as part of the side on a permanent basis following his move from Hibs.

Having moved across the capital during pre-season last year on a development loan, the 19 year old impressed the Spartan Army faithful during his 28 appearances in the white and red.

Woods will be keen to help get his side off to winning ways next weekend in the opening round of fixtures and build on a brace of back-to-back pre-season clean sheets.
