Lowland League | Spartans keen for rub of the green to defeat Students

Spartans head to Forthbank on Saturday as the oft-postponed Lowland League clash against Stirling University finally beats the weather.

The originally billed opening day encounter was postponed due to a heavily waterlogged park in July and the rescheduling now sees the sides lock horns twice in as many weeks, with the teams back in action against each other next weekend at Ainslie Park.

After a week on the sidelines, once again due to the winter conditions at Bonnyrigg, Spartans go into the game looking to recapture the fine form they displayed in December, looking to close the gap and rejoin the business end of the campaign.

Kick-off at Forthbank Stadium, the home of Stirling Albion, is 3pm.
