IRN BRU Cup: Midweek action as last season’s top two collide at K-ParkLast season’s Lowland League top two get set to collide for the first time this year at K-Park tonight when they meet in the Round 1 clash of the Irn Bru Cup.Blair Tolmie and Jamie Dishington are back in contention for a place in the gaffer’s squad after missing Saturday’s 4-1 win over Dalbeattie Star. A further expansion of the IRN-BRU Cup this year sees the introduction of two English National League representatives to the competition. Sutton United and Boreham Wood – the highest-ranked Vanarama National League sides in 2017/18 still competing in the division – will join the Irish (Bohemians and Bray Wanderers), Northern Irish (Crusaders and Coleraine) and Welsh (The New Saints and Connah’s Quay Nomads) representatives at the second-round stage of the competition. Our hosts note that it is free entry for one x U-12 per paying adult whilst General admission is just £8 for adults and £4 concession, cash only at gate. |
