Footy Fans get Fringe benefits with only game in townThe Edinburgh Fringe is underway and the only football show in town today is at Ainslie Park where Spartans take on BSC Glasgow in what is guaranteed to be a performance that will have the punters talking as both sides look to continue their respective impressive starts to the season.Spartans go into the game creating the early running at the top of a congested table with maximum points from the opening three fixtures. With no midweek fixture, the players have had the chance to iron out any niggles and freshen up for the visit of Stephen Swift’s side. Gaffer Dougie Samuel has no new injury worries to deal with and is boosted by the return of Scott Maxwell to the side. Maxi came through last week’s Under 20s game unscathed and is set to make his first appearance of the campaign. Alan Brown and Paul Thomson are back in contention too after sitting out last week’s win at Gala. Kick-off at Ainslie Park is at 3pm. Admission Prices £7 adults, Concessions £4. Under 16s Free. Season Tickets are still available and they represent tremendous value for money at just £70 adults, with 50% off for concessions. In addition to this, any SPFL season ticket holder can get 50% off their ticket on production of their own team’s brief at time of purchase.
