Pre-season fixtures – Dates for your diary

A handful of pre-season fixtures have been confirmed.

We start on the road at the ground with arguably one of the most famous terracing hedges around.  Yes, we are off to Brechin!  Our pre-season journey starts on Saturday 1st July in a 2pm kick-off against the Ladbrokes Championship side.

Then we welcome East Fife to the Academy in a midweek match.  The 4th July sees the men from the Kingdom head across the Forth for a friendly that starts at 7.30pm.

Our four team weekend tournament over the 8th and 9th sees Hibs, Hearts, Edinburgh City and Spartans battle it out for the Ronnie Swan Cup.  Day 1 sees Spartans vs Hearts at noon followed by Edinburgh City vs Hibs at 3pm whilst Sunday’s session starts at midday with Spartans vs Hibs with Edinburgh City vs Hearts completing the four game tournament at 3pm.

Broxburn Athletic will then head to the Academy the following Saturday before we make the short trip along Ferry Road to take on old friends Craigroyston, now plying their trade in the Junior League.

The final test ahead of the Lowland League campaign is on the 22nd July (3pm) when Highland League outfit Brora Rangers make the trip to the capital.  Read their preview on their website here.
