Friends Reunited: Sammy’s Spartans take on Ando’s ValeAfter a week of inactivity due to inclement weather, Spartans are back in action on Saturday afternoon in what promises to be an enthralling encounter against Chris Anderson’s Vale of Leithen. The former Spartans’ favourite brings his Vale side to the Academy on the back of victories against Cumbernauld Colts and Preston Athletic. The Borders side will certainly know their way around the place too, with no fewer than 9 of the current squad having previously plied their trade at Ainslie Park. Dougie Samuel will look or more of the same from his men who convincingly beat Gretna on the road in their last outing, but he’ll have to do it without the services of Alan Brown, David Greenhill and Mikey Herd who have fallen foul of the disciplinary tightrope. With no Friday night adventures for the Under 20s side, the squad is likely to be bolstered by the inclusion of players from Les Atkinson’s youngsters. Kick-off is 3pm. Admission: Adults £5, Concessions £3, Under 16s Free.
