Spartans’ Hay looks to produce Fairydean fireworks in front of goal

Posted on Friday, November 4th, 2016

Free-scoring Jack Hay returns to Netherdale to take on his former club Gala Fairydean Rovers as second place Spartans look to build on last weekend’s 9-1 win over Hawick Royal Albert.

Hay, who scored four against the Borders side at Ainslie Park last Saturday has been in fine form in front of goal since his recent move to the capital netting a quartet in both his home appearances so far.

The hosts will be looking to record their first win against Spartans and Manager Steven Noble will have his side up for the clash on the 3G surface that will suit two sides keen to play fast flowing football.

Back to back Borders wins is Manager Dougie Samuel’s aim and he’s boosted by the return of Dean Horribine to the squad, whilst Blair Tolmie and Jack Beesley share the treatment table.  Also unavailable this weekend is Craig Johnston.  The on-loan striker has been recalled by Cowdenbeath. Meanwhile, striker Keith Murray has gone out on loan to Preston Athletic.

The match at Netherdale 3G kicks off at 3pm.
