Posted on Saturday, September 10th, 2016

Both Spartans and visitors Gretna will look to get back to Ferrari Packaging Lowland League winning ways this afternoon as the season continues it’s fast and furious start.

With early pacemakers East Kilbride topping the table at the early stages, Spartans Manager Dougie Samuel takes his side into a game that sees him without a trio of suspended players whilst there is a positive boost with the return of talismanic Paul Thomson to the side.  Keith Murray, who came off the bench last week, is also in the squad that may still feature a new face in time for kick-off.

Gretna head to the capital on the back of two defeats however their last visit to Edinburgh saw success with a 4-3 win over Edinburgh University.  Not making the trip to Ainslie Park with the tourists is Nikki White.  The player / coach has left the club after 8 years and has taken over at Lochar Thistle who we face in the South Challenge Cup at home next month.

Kick-off is 3pm.  Admission, £5 Adults, £3 Concessions and Under 16s Free.
