The Weekend Ahead: Where to watch Spartans in actionSpartans welcome Gretna to Ainslie Park for the final home league match of the Ferrari Packaging Lowland League campaign on Saturday as they look to build on the gap over Stirling University for second place.Unbeaten in the league since January 2nd, Dougie Samuel’s side face a Gretna team who won the corresponding fixture at Raydale Park by the narrowest of margins back in August. Making his return to the side during the midweek draw against BSC Glasgow was Alan Brown who came on as a second half substitute to make his 100th appearance in Spartans colours. He is back in Samuel’s squad who face a plethora of fixtures in the coming weeks as the backlog continues to pile up due to the recent inclement weather. The game kicks-off at 3pm. Adults £5, Concessions £3, Under 16s Free. After reaching the East of Scotland League Cup Final earlier this week, Colin Tomassi’s men get back to league duty on Saturday when the head across town to a soggy Saughton to take on Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale. With the sides exchanging victories in recent weeks, the bragging rights will once again be up for grabs come 3pm. And finally… The Under 20s head across the M8 tonight (Friday) to take on BSC Glasgow in the 1st Round of the Knockout Cup.
