Spartans look for Kilby bounty with hot-shot Hunter

After their Football Nation Cup exploits, Spartans return to Ferrari Packaging Lowland League action as they head to K-Park on Saturday to take on East Kilbride.

The two goal victory against Edinburgh Uni saw Dougie Samuel’s side come off the back of a fortnight of enforced inactivity due to the weather.   Making a return in the tie was George Hunter who is back at Ainslie Park until the end of the season on loan from St Johnstone.

With suspensions and a busy treatment table to contend with, the Spartans gaffer will take his charges west to maintain their five game unbeaten run against Billy Ogilvie’s side – albeit four of these have ended in draws as the sides continue to engage in some exciting clashes between two equally competitive teams.

The pick of the games undoubtedly Jack Beesley’s hat-trick infused 1-5 win in last season’s Scottish Cup replay – a competition that’s certainly dear to the host’s hearts this year.

Kick-Off at K-Park is 3pm.
