Spartans face west test as BSC head for the ‘Burgh

Posted on Friday, September 18th, 2015

After an enforced week off for his side, Dougie Samuel’s Spartans face one of their toughest home tests of the Ferrari Packaging Lowland League yet when they welcome BSC Glasgow to Ainslie Park on Saturday.

Last season the teams exchanged victories in extremely tough League affairs, with Spartans claiming the ‘best of three’ after a Jack Beesley winner in the League Cup encounter.

After three successive clean sheets and scoring 16 goals in the process, the hosts will be looking to continue their impressive recent form however the men from the West will be looking to get back to winning ways – exactly a month since their last success, also on the road, when they defeated Preston Athletic 0-4.

No game last week ensured there aren’t any additional injury concerns for Samuel ahead of team selection.  Jack Beesley, Scott Maxwell, Dan Ward and Dean Horribine remain on the treatment table, although there’s positive news from the physio room with Dean’s rehab gathering pace.

The match kicks-off at 3pm.  Admission £5 Adults, £3 Concessions, Under 16s FREE.
