Under 20s get back in the saddle against Colts

Spartans Under 20s look emulate their Lowland League colleagues on Friday night when they take on Cumbernauld Colts at Ainslie Park.

Last season’s 20s hitman Aaron Murrell a double scorer in the Senior side’s 0-4 midweek win, something that Assistant Manager Gary McClelland hopes can be a catalyst behind a victory that could see them climb to the top of the Qualifying League Section B table.

The side will be keen to get back to winning ways at the first attempt after last week’s defeat at home to a physical Preston Athletic side.

Assistant Manager Gary McClelland is confident his young team can put their Panners loss behind them and bounceback with a victory against the North Lanarkshire outfit. “We’ve trained well as a unit throughout the week and the lads are looking forward to getting back on the pitch.  Despite the tough game last Friday, the squad is largely the same however we’ll be keeping an eye on a couple who are nursing minor knocks.”

The match kicks-off at 7.45pm.
