Samuel seeks bouncebackability in re-arranged League clash against WhitehillEast of Scotland’s footballing ‘Old froes’ Spartans and Whitehill Welfare lock horns for the first time this season in a re-arranged Ferrari Packaging Lowland League encounter at Ainslie Park. With scheduled opponents Burntisland Shipyard playing in the William Hill Scottish Cup Preliminary Round, the fixture from March has been brought forward to give the clubs their 5th game since the start of the season two weeks ago. Dougie Samuel will be looking for bouncebackability from his Spartans side after they suffered late disappointment at Selkirk in mid-week whilst Welfare head to North Edinburgh after a similar fate at the hands of BSC Glasgow at home on Wednesday. Neither side will be keen to continue their indifferent form at the start of the third Lowland League campaign whilst a win for Spartans will see them bolster their place on the ladder as Clubs jockey for position in the early rounds. The tale of the Lowland League tape so far shows Spartans edging the series so far with 2 wins, with one draw and a Welfare victory making Saturday’s game yet another key clash between two competitive sides. Kick-off is at 3pm. Admission £5 Adults, £3 Concessions, Under 16s Free. The other Ferrari Packaging Lowland League fixtures are as follows: BSC Glasgow v Cumbernauld Colts
