Underdogs get set for another bite at Berwick in Scottish Cup replaySeveral Hundred foot soldiers of the Spartan Army will descend upon Berwick on Tuesday evening as their side take on The Wee Rangers in the Scottish Cup 5th Round replay at Shielfield Park.In what will be the biggest game in the history of the club, no fewer than eleven packed supporters buses will leave the North Edinburgh community of Pilton, the Lowland League side’s HQ, for the cross-border clash with the SPFL Division 2 side. With a Quarter Final visit to Easter Road to play Hibs in front of the Sky Sports cameras on offer, it’s a winner takes all encounter that’s captured the imagination of football fans across the length and breadth of Scotland & beyond. From the squad that played in the dramatic 1-1 draw in from of over 2,500 in attendance at Ainslie Park just over a week ago, Blair Carswell and Murray Jackson have both been drafted into the squad as cover for Kevin Swain who faces a race against the clock to be fit after suffering a slight corneal abrasion during Saturday’s South Challenge Cup game against Vale of Leithen. Spartans Manager Dougie Samuel’s attempt to set up a clash against his boyhood heroes of Hibernian is boosted by the return to the side of Captain Kevin Sivewright who is added to the squad after completing the full ninety minutes of Saturday’s East of Scotland side’s victory over Craigroyston. Mikey Bruce is also in contention for a place in Samuel’s line-up after it was confirmed he’s not suspended following his second yellow card at the weekend in the South Challenge Cup.
