Vote for Us! Spartans Academy Shortlisted in Scottish Charity Awards 2014

Posted on Sunday, April 27th, 2014

The Spartans Community Football Academy has been shortlisted for the ‘A Sporting Chance’ category at the Scottish Charity Awards 2014  (a 1-off award supported by Glasgow 2014 – to mark the year of the Commonwealth Games).

Being short-listed is a great honour, and is further recognition for all of the efforts put in by the Academy staff since opening their doors. It’s also recognition of the efforts of everyone who has played their part in our story to date, all of our staff and volunteers (past and present), PMR Leisure and all of the partner organisations we have worked with so far on our journey.

The Academy been a great path so far, however, it’s still early days for the organisation and there’s so much more to do. Academy Manager Dougie Samuel is very excited about the future as he and his team look forward to many more experiences to be embraced on our ongoing journey as they continue to try and be “bold and fearless”.

Now this is where we need your help! In addition to the 6 x main categories, there is also a ‘People’s Choice Award’. Over the course of the coming weeks we need you to email, tweet and encourage all your family & friends to vote for the Spartans Community Football Academy
