Weekend Roundup

It was a successful weekend packed with goals!

The Lowland League side travelled to Forthbank knowing that only a win would give us any chance of progressing in the Lowland League Cup.

After a goal-less but entertaining first half Danny O’Donnell opened the scoring when he tapped home after Willie Bremner headed a Kevin Motion cross back across the goal.

Stirling Uni equalised when Jack Nixon headed home from a corner kick.

Keith McLeod, who came on as a sub, secured the vital victory in the 85th minute with a wonderful goal. Keith’s scoring record now stands at 13 consecutive games!

Elsewhere the East of Scotland side had an impressive 7-3 home victory over Berwick Rangers Reserves. Striker Mike Gray kept up his superb form this season by hitting 4 of the goals. Seb Pyda, Iain Ballantine and Davey Stewart added the others.

The goals continued on Sunday too as the u19s beat Heriot-Watt Uni 9-0. Blair Atkinson scored 5, Harvey MacIntosh bagged a double with the other goals coming from Paul Dickson and Dylan Tait.
