East of Scotland Side Travel to EasthousesWe are on league cup duty again tomorrow with an away fixture to Easthouses who have been going very well since we beat them on the opening game of the season. On that occasion Easthouses were missing a few players due to holidays and I am sure that tomorrow they will be out to seek revenge for the early season loss.Last week’s game saw us pick up 3 points away to Peebles, I thought that the team played well and showed some character in gaining the result, we were very good on the counter attack and caused Peebles a few problems with our pace and quality of passing however we also had to defend at times and it was really good to come away with a clean sheet. This week we received international clearance for Sebastian Pyda who has been training with us for a few weeks now, Seb has a good pedigree and has looked good in training, he also adds a bit more experience to our young squad and tomorrow will give us the opportunity to see him in competitive action, he will certainly feature at some point in the game. On the squad front we have a few players returning with Chris O’Day, Paul Roberts and Haydn Crane all available for selection, Lee Zavaroni and Davy Stewart are both carrying knocks which will need to be assessed tomorrow whilst long term injury still keeps Lewis Kidd out, Murray Jackson and Mike Gray are both unavailable with Mike Atai set to make his debut tomorrow providing the birth of his first child is delayed. Scott Clapperton has left the club after accepting a job offer in the Derby area, we would like to thank Scott for his contribution over the past 2 seasons and wish him well on his new journey and no doubt his dad Ricky will keep us updated on his progress. The pitch tomorrow will most certainly be heavy given the rain that has fallen this week let’s hope the pitch has held up well and we have a good game of football out at Easthouses. Alex |
