Weekend Round-up

Posted on Sunday, September 8th, 2013

It was bouncebackability from Sammy’s boys as the Seniors won the first of five sets against Whitehill Welfare 2-0 in front of a bumper crowd at Ainslie Park.  Mark Whatley grabbed the opener in the 18th minute from a John Grant cross and it was the same man who whipped in a delightful ball for Alan Brown to breach the Welfare goal after 55 minutes to secure a valuable 3 points.

The East of Scotland side went down 3-1 to Stirling University in their Premier Division clash with Chris O’Day grabbing the consolation strike.

Andy Howat was on target as our Amateur team drew 1-1 with Newcraighall in the League.

It was a rest weekend for the EoS 19s this weekend.

Finally our Womens 1st XI had a tough home Scottish Cup tie against Glasgow City which resulted in the Champions League side running out 8-0 to the good at Ainslie Park.

The Reserves defeated Musselburgh Windsor 5-0 on the road to keep their title hopes alive.
