Spartans TV unmask ‘Zorro’

Having had co-managers for as long as I can remember, meeting our new Assistant Manager is a novelty on its own. Having been appointed number two to Dougie Samuel, former Spartan himself, Neil Irvine is excited to be back!

Within minutes of meeting Neil, or ‘Zorro’ as many will know him as, you can’t help but be caught up in his passion and excitement for the future of Spartans. As he spoke to me about the plans for the team next season and beyond I found myself already desperate to get to the pre-season friendlies planned for July and was once again filled with an optimism that last season failed to offer.

With the 2012/13 season fixtures out, two new signings already and with the news that our top players are all looking to stay it is certainly an exciting time to be a Spartans fan.

In this first interview we met up with Neil to find out more about him, why he has decided to come here and what we can expect from their team in the seasons ahead.
