Uni end our Unbeaten league record

Edinburgh fought back from 2 goals down to secure an impressive 3-2 victory.

Spartans were without record goal scorer Keith McLeod and influential midfield pair John Grant (suspended) and Kerr Dodds (injured).

We started strong however and after an early scare took the lead when Gavin Malin cooly fired home from 12 yards.

We extended the lead just before half time, Gav set up Omar to send in a right footed cross which was headed home y Chris Anderson.

Danny O’Donnell had to go off injured early in the second half and the game seemed to change after that. Less than a minute after we were denied what looked to be a stone wall penalty, Uni were award a spot kick for a foul inside the box. Daniel Main stepped up and fire into the net.

Both sides had chances to score again however it was the Uni who drew level. Jack Beacher’s shot was saved by Flockhart however sub Audrey Kycmenko fired home the rebound.

The Uni then completed their comeback on the 83rd minute when Jack Beacher scored with an impressive shot following a fast attacking move.
