Amateurs win to stay top and Juniors disappoint

The Amateurs beat Tynecastle 8 – 0 to cement their top of the table position with goals from Iain Cartwright 3, David Cran 2, Velicko Yankov, Ross Hutchison (yes!) and an OG. 

The Juniors were 2 – 0 ahead in the first 20 minutes with goals from Paul Roberts and Nick Reid.  Paul had a further effort hacked off the line but it did look well over.  Harthill pulled one back just on half time.  In the second half Spartans failed to retain possession sufficiently and Harthill equalised with 15 minutes to go.  Ress Smith then hit the post and Nick had a last minute effort blocked but it finished all square.  Team: Graham, Leask, Hair, Ewart, Waddell (Perry 65), Bannon, Laidlaw, Smith, Roberts, Reid, Nikolaudis
