Management thoughts on Whitehill tonight

“After avoiding playing Whitehill Welfare right through until April we play the third of at least four meetings with the Rosewell club this evening. Is it a big game, it´s for the league title after all? Let´s face it you don´t need titles or cups as a backdrop to these two teams meeting.

We played each other twice last week and both games were very close and I´d expect more of the same this evening. We are still smarting from a week ago and Rab Paget and his players will be wanting to get the thoughts of Saturday and their performance against Strollers out of their heads as quickly as possible.

We will be without Omar Kader and Danny O´Donnell but Keith McLeod is back available. We are also hopeful that Alex King and Donal Henretty will be fit to play and Gavin Malin is rested and ready to return. Whoever starts we know only our best will do and remembering our last visit to Rosewell we are all aware our finishing will have to improve.

We can win the league tonight but we also know we have five other opportunities to complete a hat-trick of league titles. It would be nice to get it out the way for now so we can concentrate on the remaining cups but we know Whitehill will have something to say about that.”
