Management thoughts on Whitehill tonight.

Mike says –

“Having seen the Academy pitch at the weekend, having spoken to Dougie Samuel yesterday and seeing the heavy rain forecast for early this afternoon I think it’s inevitable that tonight’s game against Whitehill will be postponed unless the Rosewell club want to take us on at water polo.

Missing games due to the weather (and tonight would make it a round dozen for us this season) is very frustrating. Missing games as big as the one tonight is doubly frustrating and missing games when for the first time in the season you have a full pool of players to choose from is really, really hard to take.

We will play the Rosewell club at least 3 times between now and the end of the season (probably late June or early July)  and each game will be judged on its own merit. There is a mutual respect between the clubs and we know games at our level don’t come any harder than those against Whitehill Welfare. Paul Cavanagh also knows that 2 wins against us in the league opens everything up again and that they still have all to play for.

I only hope that if we don’t play tonight, Sam and I have the same choice of personnel when the clubs eventually meet.”
