Three wins todayGood wins for the Seniors, Juniors and the Amateurs today in league games.The Seniors made one change from Tuesday’s starting XI with Omar Kader coming in for Donal Henretty. We started on fire with Jack Beesley scoring within a minute from an Omar cross. We continued to dominate and within quarter of an hour we had scored a second. Gavin Malin put through Alex King and Keith McLeod slotted through his cross. It continued to be one way traffic and Alec turned well in the box to slot home the third. The fourth came on the half hour mark when Chris Townsley headed on a Jack corner for Ross Archibald to head home his tenth of the season. The remainder of the game was played at a slower pace and midway through the half Miller nodded home a corner to pull one back for Preston. The Malt and Hops man of the match went to Alex King again who is in a rich vein of form and was watched by the assistant manager of an SPL team today. Team: Flockhart, Archibald (Smith 68), Hoskins, Townsley, Sivewright, Kader, Malin (Finnie 80), Manson, Beesley (Henretty 64), McLeod, King Subs not used: McGarrie, Fowlie The Juniors had a great 4 – 0 win at Pumpherston. Nick Reid opened the scoring in the first minute and scored a second later in the half to give us a comfortable lead at half time. Andy Laidlaw nodded home his first goal early in the second half and Andrew Cruickshank headed home a fourth in the closing stages. Team: Paterek, Burns (Perry), Cruickshank, McKibben, McCathie, Stewart (Waddell), Reid, Roberts, Smith, Laidlaw, Hair The Amatuers consolidated their place at the top of the table with a 3-1 win over Fernieside at Peffermill. Martin Douglas opened the scoring for us and Iain Cartwright noticed a double to complete the scoring. |
