Women lose out but Juniors win

Posted on Wednesday, May 12th, 2010

Celtic beat us 4 – 1 to win the League Cup at the Academy tonight in front of a crowd of over 500.  Celtic scored after 25 minutes and then again just before the break.  A third early in the second half was critical before the fourth came midway through the seond half.  Claire Crosbie pulled one back after 85 minutes as we had our best spell of the game.  Celtic were deserved winners.  We looked dangerous going forward but Celtic were much stronger and more expeirenced.

The Juniors beat Dunbar 2 – 1 in an away league fixture tonight.  Dunbar scored in the first minute and were ahead at half time but second half goals from Andrew Cruickshank and Kenny Young gave us the points.

Looking ahead to tomorrow’s SFA Regional Cup Final at Tynecastle against Gretna.  The game kicks off at 7.45, also a reminder that the Gorgie Suite opens at 5pm for a pre match refreshment.
