Weekend action

Posted on Friday, April 2nd, 2010

The Academy pitch is looking in great condition despite this weeks weather, the action kicks off at 2.30pm.

The Juniors are due to play Harthill in a league game at City Park with a 2.30pm ko but the bottom corner of the pitch is currently flooded and the game is in doubt. The Harthill pitch is still partly under snow so the game can’t be swapped. With so many games remaining the Juniors have signed Jacob Crolla and Scott Livingston. Jacob has been with Musselburgh and did train with the Seniors at the start of the season. Scott played with the Seniors last season but picked up a bad injury and has been out for over 12 months, he has been training for a couple of months and is close to competitive action.

The Amateurs play Meadow Star away also in a league game looking at getting back to winning ways.

On Sunday the Womens team play Hamilton on the FieldTurf at the Academy also in the league with a 2pm ko.

Finally the Womens international team beat Bulgaria 8 – 1 yesterday with Pauline Hammill amongst the goals. The 19s also qualified for the European Championship finals in May after beating Finland 3 – 1 with Stacy McLean in the squad led by Shelley Kerr.
