Youth Cup defeat

Alloa Athletic beat us 4 – 0 today in the second round of the SFA Youth Cup at the Academy.  We couldnt recover from a dreadful first 20 minutes but then fought back very well in the second half.

Alloa scored two goals in the first ten minutes then our ‘keeper Euan Smart was red carded for a deliberate handball just outside his box.  There were still 75 minutes still to go!  Alloa scored a third just before half time, then a fouth in the 72nd minute.  Despite having only ten men our guys worked very hard and were unfortunate not to score a consolation goal.

Our Sunday Spartans got back to winning ways with a 6 – 1 win over Duddingston in the league.
