Two wins

It was a comfortable 5 – 0 win against Lothian Thistle at the Academy this afternoon in the first round of the Image Printers Cup.  Kevin Sivewright was out injured and into the starting line up came Donal Henretty and david Etale.  We opened the scoring in the 5th minute when Gavin malin netted from close range. 

The second came three minutes later when Donal Henretty did likewise and then in the fifteenth minute Keith Mcleod made it three from the spot after David Etale was fouled.  We were mostly in control but Lothian did threaten a couple of times on the break.  The fourth goal was the best, a rifle shot from 25 yards from Donal’s right boot and Michael Moffat made it five when he cleverly knocked it past the ‘keeper from a Robbie Manson through ball.  Team: Flockhart, Archibald, McKibben, Fowlie, Gerrard, Malin, Manson, McAuley, Henretty (Moffat 64), Mcleod (Kader 64), Etale (Hoskins 70) Subs not used: Smith, O’Donnell.  The attendance was 195. 

The Juniors also had a comprehensive win, beating Pumpherston 4 – 1 at City Park.  The goals came from Adam Perry 2, Kenny Young (pen) and Iain Cartwright.  The team was Paterek, Mcleod, G Young, Antoni, Scott (Osborne), Douglas (Hair), K Young, Reid (Cartwright), Perry, Robertson, Bannon.
