Saturday Amateurs

Our Saturday Amateurs are delighted to welcome back former player then manager Dave Bryce to the club.  He will take over from Doug Cowie although Doug will still be involved with Brian hutton in the backroom staff.  Dave enjoyed a successful and entertaining spell in his first stint as manager, winning the Lothian Premier title in 03/04.  Dave said “after leaving 4 years ago it is fantastic to be back and its great to see so many old faces still involved at the club.  I’m looking forward to the season ahead, especially playing at the fantastic facilities at the Academy where we can hopefully add some silverware to the trophy cabinet.”  The amateurs begin their season on 19th August against Tynecastle Star at city Park, ko 6.45.  Their first game at the Academy on the synthetic pitch will be on 29th August against Musselburgh.  See the amateurs section of the website throughout the season for results and match reports.
