Spartans welcome Elgin Replay

Spartans today welcomed the SFA decision to replay the third round tie against Elgin City.

Everyone at Elgin made our players and fans very welcome last Saturday and we obviously sympathise with their predicament, particularly given that this was a genuine oversight on their part.

The logistics of the Monday night fixture could cause issues for the club with some doubts over player and coach availability as well as the additional expense which will be incurred. Having said that we are absolutely delighted to still be involved in the competition and to have been given a further opportunity to progress to the next round of the competition.
