Away days in Scottish & EOS Qualifying Cup drawsSpartans face away days in Clydebank and Bathgate after Monday’s draws in the Scottish Cup and East of Scotland Qualifying Cup respectively. Next month sees a trip to the West of Scotland League side Clydebank FC in the First Round of the Scottish Cup. The tie, to be played on Saturday 17th September, will see Spartans make their 70th appearance in the historic tournament which was first competed for in 1873. Our hosts Clydebank are supporter-owned via the United Clydebank Supporters group and the club, in its variety of historical guises makes for quite an interesting read for any footballing neutral. Its destination Bathgate following the East of Scotland Qualifying Cup draw, where we will take on Stoneyburn FC, on a date yet to be confirmed. The Fulshie ply their trade in the East of Scotland Division 3 at Beechwood Park where there were scenes in the previous round when they defeated our fellow Lowland League side Berwick Rangers 2-1. |
