Lowland League | Back the boys for bouncebackability against the BorderersIt’s Spartans ‘Saturdays at Home’ once again this weekend as we welcome Gala Fairydean Rovers to Ainslie Park on the Lowland League duty. The lads will be looking to bounceback from our midweek disappointment on the road at Dumbarton against Rangers B against a Gala side who have had a positive start to their season, still to taste defeat after four outings. After a hat-trick of B Teams played in the space of just seven days, Rovers will offer yet another difficult challenge in what will be the 18th fixture between the sides since 2013. Spartans have the upper hand with 13 wins and just three defeats in the head to head. Last time out was in April, the final fixture of the season, with Under 20s striker Mackenzie Scott coming off the bench to head home the winner. Harvey Swann suffered a shoulder knock on Tuesday night which will keep him on the treatment table for a spell however Dougie Samuel has an otherwise full squad to select from. Let’s get behind the boys and give them a massive Spartan Army backing against the Borderers. Kick-off is at 3pm. Admission £9 Adults, £6 Concessions, Under 16s Free (ID required). The Cafe Bar will be open throughout the afternoon for soft and alcoholic beverages plus the legendary tastebud tickling Bain’s of Stenhouse pies! |
