Lowland League | Building on momentum is key for Hendo against the HoopsThe Spartans will look to build on Tuesday night’s victory against Hearts B when the take on their second Colts opponents of the week when Celtic B visit Ainslie Park. With only a brace of games gone in the Lowland League so far, there’s been some interesting results on the cards already and today’s sides go into the game with a win and a loss so far. Looking to get another three points in the bag is Striker Blair Henderson. Last season’s top scorer, who last week extended his contract to 2024, was in confident mood ahead of the Hoops coming to town. “Tuesday’s win has certainly boosted the confidence in the dressing room and we know the next two games are going to be difficult challenges however we have shown last year that we are capable of defeating the B teams, including twice against Celtic. “We know they’ll come after us from the off as they’ll be smarting after their loss at Berwick in midweek however we go into the game on the back of a hard fought victory against a decent Hearts side and look to maintain that momentum. “We all know, in fact probably every club will be thinking the same, that this is going to be an incredibly competitive season but we’ve got a good squad and I think we are more equipped this year than last in order to go further and hopefully come the end of the season we are in the mix for the title. “On Saturday we’ll go out to execute our game plan we’ve been working on at training and set out to pick up another three points.” Kick-off is at 3pm. Admission £9 Adults, £6 Concessions. Under 16s Free (ID required). |
