u20s | Atkinson looks for stable performance to unseat Colts in CupOur Under 20s are in action on Friday night as they look to progress in the search of silverware when they go on the road to take on fellow Conference A side Cumbernauld Colts. The sides will lock horns at Broadwood Stadium with a place in the Quarter Final draw of the Development League Challenge Cup at stake. Both teams head into the game looking to put last week’s defeats behind them, Spartans losing out narrowly to East Kilbride in a keenly fought contest whilst Friday’s hosts were edged out by the odd goal in seven at home to Civil Service Strollers. Les Atkinson’s youngsters sit one place above the Colts in the league table in 3rd place. In the two encounters so far this season, it was a late comeback goal from Given Ndlovu to secure a point at Broadwood back in October whilst the return at Ainslie Park in February saw Spartans score six without loss in an emphatic victory. The journey so far: R2 Shotts Bon Accord: Walkover R3 Glenrothes: 1-3 (Scott x2, Lamont) |
