Lowland League | Get tae Falkirk – and back the boys against ShireSpartans head to the Falkirk Stadium on Friday night looking to maintain their unbeaten Lowland League away record to hosts East Stirlingshire. Despite being on the wrong side of the scoreboard last week against East Kilbride, Spartans go into the game with 9 victories in the last ten games sitting in Third place, sandwiched between the Old Firm’s Colts sides. Games between the two sides, since Shire’s entry into the Lowland League in 2016, have had more twists and turns than a snake with an itch and in nine meetings so far, there’s only been one no-scoring draw. Who can forget the visit to Falkirk Stadium back in December 2019 when 9-man Spartans defied the odds to nab an injury time winner courtesy of an audacious run and strike from Jake Davidson! Hopefully our nerves won’t be as shot tonight in what promises to be another cracking tussle between the teams. Kick-off is 7.45pm. We’ll bring you team news and live updates via Twitter throughout the evening. |
