Lowland League | Spartans out to continue winning waysThe Spartans will be looking to build on their eight match unbeaten run when they take on East Kilbride on Saturday as second welcomes fourth in this Lowland League match of the day. Due to the pandemic, its the first time since 2018 that the sides have locked horns at Ainslie Park, that time saw a goalless stalemate, one of five draws in six Lowland League matches between the sides in North Edinburgh. Both sides have lifted the coveted title silverware twice and games between the two former league champions are typical tight. They have also offered their fun moments off the park with lasered bananas, engraved planks of wood and coasters amongst the items exchanged in the boardrooms in the past! Spartans will be without Euan Smith after his premature end to his involvement in last week’s 2-1 win over Gretna however gaffer Dougie Samuel is boosted by the return of influential playmaker Cammy Russell to the fold.
