Pre-Season: Castle Douglas sees Samuel continue to find finest blendSpartans make their solitary away day trip of their pre-season programme when they head to Castle Douglas to take on Threave Rovers at Meadow Park on Saturday. Spartans gaffer Dougie Samuel continues to use the intensive pre-season spell like a Whisky distiller, seeking to find the perfect mix of ingredients to create the finest blend ahead of picking the finished product for the season opener at home on July 20th against Rangers Colts. The South of Scotland side, managed by the familiar face of veteran goalkeeper Vinnie Parker, have had five pre-season fixtures under the belt, including sharing six goals with Maybole Juniors last week. Our last visit to Meadow Place was back in March 2016, when Spartans headed back to the Capital after collecting three points courtesy of a 0-3 victory in the Lowland League. Kick-off on Saturday is at 3pm. Admission prices are £4 Adults, £2 Concessions. Notice to spectators from our hosts:
