Lowland League | Samuel keen for fortunes to favour Spartans against BravesSpartans look to finally get 2021 underway when they travel west to take on Caledonian Braves on Tuesday evening at Alliance Park. Following Monday’s Scottish Government announcement, the updated guidance noted that professional football could continue and we now embark upon a seven game January mission. After being frozen out on Saturday, Dougie Samuel hopes to get his troops back on the paddock to take on Braves, the artists formally known as Edusport Academy, who lost out in a five-goal humdinger on Ne’er Day against BSC Glasgow. The gaffer welcomes back a defensive trio to the squad in the shape of Daniel Baur, Mikey Allan and Michael Bolochoweckyj however he remains without John Grant who is serving a suspension following his recent red card against Kelty. Former Spartans striker Jack Smith now plies his trade for Tuesday’s opponents and will undoubtedly be a tricky customer up top, along with top scorer Ross McNeil. Kick-off is at 7.45pm.
