Spartans face Shire in Soccer Shop showdown

It’s Friday night footy for Spartans when they travel to Falkirk to take on East Stirlingshire in the second round of the Soccer Shop Challenge Cup.

Mikey Allan joins Blair Carswell on the long-term treatment table, whilst Blair Atkinson and Ian McFarland return to the squad as Dougie Samuel’s side look to continue on the road to silverware.

Games between the sides are often tough, tight and exciting encounters, none more so than last season’s five goal thriller that saw Jake Davidson’s late strike give nine-man Spartans a dramatic win in the league.

The match will once again be behind closed doors as per Scottish Govt guidelines and will be streamed live on a Pay Per View basis for only £5 on Shire TV.

Kick-off is 7.45pm and will be played to a finish.
