Lowland League | Spartans out to be thorn in Rose’s sideSpartan’s gaffer Dougie Samuel will be looking for his men to build on the midweek joy of six against Vale of Leithen when they entertain Bonnyrigg Rose at Ainslie Park on Saturday afternoon. It’s only the second Lowland League meeting between the sides following Robbie Horn’s side’s introduction to the Pyramid System. Last season saw a five-goal thriller with a late winner for the Mid Lothian side and no doubt we can expect a tight and tough encounter this time round. Dan Baur and Blair Atkinson are back in contention for berths either in the starting XI or the bench whilst Ian McFarland remains in rehab on the treatment table. Usual statement – no fans allowed at the ground due to Scot Govt guidance. Kick-off is 3.00pm.
