NEWS: Fixtures unveiled and Season Tickets on saleThe Spartans will kick-off their 2020-21 Lowland League campaign with a tough away visit to Gretna 2008 following the unveiling of the fixtures on Monday evening. The season will see the first Lowland League New Year Derby when we welcome North Edinburgh rivals Civil Service Strollers to the Academy as our ‘first footers’ – just a week after the teams lock horns in Muirhouse on Boxing Day. Speaking of the opening day away day, Gaffer Dougie Samuel said, “It’s a tough away game to start the new campaign. Rowan has made some excellent signings, rebuilt the squad & will be determined to deliver success. That said it’s a challenge everyone in the home dressing room is looking forward too.” A full list of the fixtures can be found here http://www.spartansfc.com/fixtures-and-results/ Our pre-season fixtures start tomorrow evening, and we have a further four in the diary between now and the start of the season. Sadly they will all be closed door fixtures however we hope that crowds will be permitted when we start competitive games, we will let all our supporters know our line ups and scores after the games. We have a large “normal” capacity at Ainslie Park and our social distancing compliant capacity will be more than sufficient for our normal attendance! Our new playing surface is in place and we’ll shortly see our new standing enclosure open for spectators too. With our football fixtures now announced we are delighted that we can now put our season tickets on sale. We have decided on the following prices which will give you access to all our home games other than in the Scottish Cup. This season we will have an additional home league game with there being 17 teams in the Lowland League. Your ticket will also allow you free entry to all our Women’s games in the highly competitive SWPL. If the season is curtailed or closed door games continue into the competitive season, don’t worry, we will refund you appropriately. Our prices are: • Adult £100 • Concession (student, U16 and OAP) £50 The easiest way to get your ticket is online via our club shop on https://ec-lions.myshopify.com/collections/season-tickets and we will post it to you. Alternatively they are available from the office at Ainslie Park. |
