GeoSonic Lowland League | Spartans hope for no Wednesday wash out as they head to Dalbeattie StarThe Spartans head to Kirkudbrightshire on Tuesday night to take on Dalbeattie Star in the re-arranged GeoSonic Lowland League encounter, once postponed then abandoned at half-time four weeks ago due to a puddle strewn paddock. Both sides have been in winning form at either end of the table recently, with Spartans pushing for a top 4 placing, boosted by 15 points out of a possible 18 in their last six outings, whilst the hosts have created a nine point gap over basement dwellers Whitehill Welfare, assisted by a victory over Kelty Hearts and a draw with the Stirling University students. Dougie Samuel will be looking to build on the derby day success over Strollers and will undoubtedly reward as many of his squad from that match with game time at Islecroft. Kick-off is at 7.45pm.
