Posted on Monday, July 23rd, 2018

Spartans conclude their debut season in the BetFred Cup with another challenge against Premiership opposition, this time in the shape of Kilmarnock FC.

After two draws and a narrow defeat against SPFL sides in a ten day period, Spartans welcome Steve Clarke’s men to Ainslie Park looking to finish the tournament on a high in what promises to be a busy evening in North Edinburgh with a sizeable crowd anticipated.

The Spartan Army will have the first chance to see new signing Stephen MacDonald as he makes the squad following his recent move from Musselburgh Athletic.  6ft 2in MacDonald scored 25 goals last season in what was his first year playing in Scotland after crossing the pond from America.
